Social work using modern international methods

The specialists of the team of the institution "Destiny and Hope" are psychologists, specialists in social work, lawyers - have been involved in the implementation of projects for the legal support of families with minor children and people with disabilities since the 1990s, in cooperation with international organizations and Representations - UNICEF; Child Fund International; USAID; «Leaves of Hope» for Belarusian Children (Great Britain); "Star of Hope" (Sweden), etc. In addition, the team participated in international internships to provide social and legal assistance to socially vulnerable categories of citizens - in the US, Germany, Britain, the Netherlands, Poland, Lithuania.

Initially, as an initiative group, the specialists of the "Fate and Hope" Foundation received positive experience in supporting families and citizens who found themselves in a difficult life situation in Belarus: the team provided assistance in the form of long-term social and legal support and information and legal advice to more than 30 families and more than 20 citizens who were in crisis situations.

In 2017, various types of support (information, legal, psychological, material and other assistance) were rendered to the request from the Minsk and various regions of Belarus for help to the team of the Institution:

  • 15 citizens, among whom there are people with disabilities, elderly people, as well as people from the category of former orphans.
  • 16 families in which minors are raised, including those with disabilities.

Periodically, the Institution's team provides material assistance to the shelter organized by Alexei Schedrov in the village of Alexandrovka, Shchuchin district, where homeless people are housed.
