October 14 is Mother's Day in Belarus – a day when many people express special respect and gratitude to mothers, the keepers of the family hearth.
The date of Mother's Day in the Republic of Belarus was not chosen by chance. On October 14, the Orthodox Church celebrates the Protection of the Holy Mother of God. Just as the Mother of God protects and defends people from enemies visible and invisible, from all misfortunes, so too does a woman-mother protect her children and the family hearth.
We extend our deepest gratitude and deepest appreciation to all mothers who give love, kindness, tenderness, and affection.
For Mother's Day, the team at the «Fate and Hop» Foundation donated food packages, clothing, and shoes to the community of large families and foster parents at the Ascension Church. We thank everyone who contributed to this donation.
